"Torrej n el Rubio, Heart of Monfrag e" is not a mere advertising slogan. This is the description of the importance of its municipal contributes to environmental and cultural heritage of the National Park. 23% of the area of Torrej n el Rubio is within the boundaries of the National Park. Much of the visitable area is in the municipality of our people. For example, the Castle and the Hermitage, and the shelter of the paintings belong to 5,000 square meters owned by the town of Torrej n el Rubio. The panoramic observed from height have seduced our ancestors; there have organized their areas of surveillances the Celts, Romans, Visigoths, Arabs, Christians and now, instead of being lookout for war, is a place for contemplation. The only war we see is the vultures against the sky, the horizon with mist or vertigo versus height. Places like the viewpoint of Salto del Gitano, the Source of French, the shady paths, which travels from said source to the castle or wander to the House of navvies, are located in Torrej n el Rubio. To offer a much wider idea and complement the tourist and leisure and recreation offer, the city of Torrej n el Rubio has launched four Centers of Interpretation: the Monfrag e Bird Center, the Center of Interpretation of the Rock Art Center Legends Monfrag e and the Astronomical Observatory of Monfrag e. Monfrag e Bird Center: monfrag e is one of the largest bird sanctuaries in Western Europe. In the interpretive space Monfrag e BirdCenter, besides knowing these reasons, it will delve a little deeper into the biology of important species such as the Iberian imperial eagle, black vulture or the black stork. We also have a section specially dedicated to several smaller species that are present in our Mediterranean forest and spend more unnoticed by outsiders. Interpretation Centre of Rock Art: Monfrag e is a magnificent enclave of Schematic Cave Painting. They have been discovered up to 107 shelters with some sort of prehistoric pictorial representation. Our interpretation center is divided into four huts, each dedicated to a theme. In the first hut we approach the schematic painting, we know the techniques, pigment production and the companies that were responsible for the paintings. The second is an indoor recreation of a middle Neolithic housing, more than 6000 years ago. The third is dedicated to the stones steles, where we will see replicas five steles. At last, we will see a recreation of how they painted in prehistoric times. Monfrag e Center Legends: Noemia, Zaida, Gonz lvez, Pedraja, Alfonso VI, Gerald the Fearless Brothers Cuesta and Pablo Serrano, are some of the names that resonate in the Interpretation Center Monfrag e, A Legend destination. Remember a riot of January 1, 1789 or the adventures of a torrejoniego become Governor of Antioch. It does this so agile, with great visual presence and the strength of a simple but stories that touch the heart. Astronomical Observatory of Monfrag e: If we face the stars with an interest that goes beyond the mere profane observation, we enter a very complex world, where popular science becomes more than necessary. Therefore, in addition to the Astronomical Observatory, we have created a Visitors Center where a simple, educational and entertaining way they explain part of astronomical phenomena that we are going to find once we're in the dome with the telescope. What is a galaxy, a cluster, nebula, or the solar system are some of the questions that will be answered in this center whose audio guide just installed.
